BIRCHWOOD VOLLEYBALL CLUB
Perhaps the most successful club in the Lincolnshire league and cup competitions for the last few years. The club was set up about 12 years ago when the other clubs in the city, Kestrels at North Kesteven, City Sports Centre and Yarborough Volleyball Clubs, all closed due to the rising cost of running the clubs. The members who wanted to continue playing set up Birchwood Volleyball Club under Coach Pete Lancashire, one of the original founders of the LVA. The club is made up of both male and female players and a growing number of Juniors. It has been successful in both the Lincolnshire League and Cup competitions over the years and last year won both. The Club welcomes new or experienced player, young or old, men and women. The qualified coaches are happy to work with anyone interested in the game of Volleyball.
Come along on Sunday evenings to the Birchwood Sports Centre, Birchwood Ave, Lincoln. This season's training sessions are from 5.30pm to 7.30pm starting on Sunday 12th September 2004.
